Fire Alarms Systems
Our commercial installation and maintenance packages cover both conventional and addressable fire alarm systems. A conventional system is made up of devices such as heat and smoke detectors as well as manual call points connected to a main fire panel. Addressable systems are the same in this way but also have the benefit where the system can detect and display the exact device that has triggered the alarm.
In domestic dwellings we install mains powered smoke alarms with battery back up – Grade D. This is a system incorporating one or more interlinked mains powered smoke alarms (and heat alarms if required), each with an integral stand-by supply. The interlink can be hardwired or radio-interlinked.
Grade D is required for new, owner-occupied buildings of up to three storeys, two storey rented properties and existing, owner-occupied buildings of more than two storeys.
